I have been a fan of yours since being a wee nipper growing up in Manchester.
I believe that the message conveyed by yr track “Power in the Darkness†is particularly relevant today.
These days I live in Oakland, part of the Bay Area (San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, San Jose etc). I have found that even here in this legendary bastion of “personal liberty†the focus of the counter culture seems to be largely internal and self oriented. ….Organic food, green computing, rebirthing, holistic medicine etc are the order of the day. Civil rights are practically taken for granted. A sense of entitlement is manifest. Nowhere is this more evident than in the post rave club culture where hedonism and materialism hold sway. Last week was so much fun, I learned that Logic express really doesn’t support audio input objects, or at the least, you can’t create them for an audio input for your audio interface. Thanks to Apple’s lack of documentation on this in the reference manually for Logic Express, even though it mentions audio input objects and how they can be used. More: Read the rest of this entry…

Phonic the E bomber and J have been in the studio working on a few new tracks. The first is a remix of “Power in the Darkness,” a rock song from the seventies. They’ve stripped the song to just the basic beat and left a nice long spoken word sample.
